Arthur Christmas got me in the holiday spirit and appealed to the kid in me.

This film kept me smiling the whole way through.  In the Claus family there are basically four Santas, and no one seems to be able to agree on who the real Santa is.  Each member of the somewhat dysfunctional family has a different opinion about how to accomplish the huge mission of Christmas.  The age old question, ‘How does Santa deliver all those presents in just one night?’ is finally answered.  But this movie brings up another question, ‘What is the best way to deliver the presents?’

Each character of the film was hilarious in his or her own way.  Santa’s clumsy youngest son Arthur (played by James McAvoy) warmed my heart.  Hugh Lowery, who plays Santa’s tech-savvy oldest son Steve, had me marveling at his Christmas tree shaped goatee.  Although viewers will likely be able to guess how the movie will end, the journey you take along the way is so much fun.  Every aspect of this film was great: the animation, the plot, the acting, and the dialogue.  Arthur Christmas will have you counting down the days till December 25th.
